We are pleased to announce that our community wiki is now running a custom theme. Go ahead and check it out at wiki.mechlivinglegends.net and give your thanks to Sky_Walker who made all this possible.

Seven days have passed since we launched our MWLL Community Wiki and six days passed since Sky_walker took command of it, so we decided it might be a good idea to check out what you guys have been working on.

The results were more than impressive and the team would like to thank all contributors for their hard work. No less than 19 different people contributed to the wiki since its launch, creating 81 pages with actual content and uploading 39 images. Since its launch, the Wiki has been viewed more than 20,000 times by almost 2300 unique visitors already, who created more than 500MB of traffic in this short period of time.

As a little gesture of our thankfulness and respect for this achievement and the quality of the volunteer team’s work, we’ve decided to replace all links from our factions pages for Inner Sphere and Clans with links to the according pages in the Wiki – until further notice.

Thank you everyone and keep up the good work!

As a last remark for this post and to avoid any confusion, we’d like to state again that Sky_walker is not part of the MWLL dev team at this time, but ‘just’ a very dedicated member of MWLL’s fantastic community. Therefore, please abstain from contacting him regarding MWLL development as has happened in the past.

With the constant influx of new users, the community wiki, community created guides and maps and other things, activity on the MWLL forums has rapidly increased. Most of this activity is useful, entertaining or helpful – others isn’t. It is for this reason we’ve decided to introduce two established community features to allow the community to reward good contributions – and contain the not so good ones.

While these features are currently enabled with as few restrictions as possible, we’d still like to ask you to use them wisely – don’t ’smite’ posts just because you dislike the poster for example. A user you dislike might still have posted a useful comment, guide or piece of advice – be fair and ‘applaud’. Just as much, don’t say ‘thank you’ for the sheer appearance of posters, but for useful, entertaining and thought-out posts.

Just recently, we announced the launch of MWLL’s Community Wiki. Today, we’re proud to announce that a member of MWLL’s fantastic community has taken charge of it: please say hello to Sky_Walker as new administrator of the Wiki. Another change regarding the Wiki: registration is now required before you’re allowed to create or modify content.

It has been asked for and we did heed the call: today, we give to you the MWLL Community Wiki at http://wiki.mechlivinglegends.net

When we say “we give to you”, that is exactly what we mean: this Wiki will absolutely and only live by your participation, it is a “Community Wiki”. Therefore, please ensure that when you create content on this wiki, it is correct and valid as you will be responsible for the quality of this Wiki as an informational resource, not just for new players of course.

If there is additional need for discussion that’s too extensive to be comfortably held in the articles’ talk pages, there is now also a separate sub-forum for the MWLL Wiki on our main forums.

Hello fellow readers,

We are proud to announce the availability of our new server hosting both the forums and website.

As you have noticed everything has changed with our server move. Our webpage comes with a new (temporary) design and has been moved to Wordpress. We figured this will offer us more flexibility with our web page content than Joomla while making it easy for every developer to (possibly) contribute to this website.

We also updated our forum software and removed our old theme. As with our website the forum theme is the default that comes with it. As long as we work on a new theme we will be using this. Don’t be scared, all our data was moved from the old host. Everything will stay the same under the ‘hood’ even though it’ll take some time to get all content back in.

Back to work, we are still not done!
