Public Discussion / General Discussion / MWLL Advent Calendar - Door 38

Read the original entryOn January 7th, MWLL is opening door #38 in its advent calendar. It is yet again a continuation of an earlier screenshot - that of January 5th. Regarding this screenshot, we asked you to submit your captions of which the best fitting one would then be picked as official caption in MWLL's gallery. The "winner" of this little contest is: Calistarius with the short and concise "Hey! You! Turn that camera off!!". While all of your suggestions were extremely creative and entertaining, Calistarius' caption simply was the one that captured the mood best - and fit into the limited space available for the captions. However, on January 7th, we are again asking you to let your creativity soar. What do you think about this slightly different situation? What comes to your mind? To even encourage your creativity further, we decided to reward it a little more and set up an additional sub-gallery that features the currently two comic-like submissions for January 5th, which of course did not fit into that little contest, but were too creative to disappear. If you can come with more stuff like that - feel free to hand it in. .. .

like buildings and jumpships
No, like most Mechs and heavy vehicles. If you're in a war-torn Atlas, you will not want to get too close to, say, a Puma, because even if you beat them, chances are they'll find revenge after dying.

would the mech self-destruct killing the elemental too?
The explosion itself has enough destructive power to wipe out any battlearmor in range. However, if the battlearmor realises what's going on and knows how to handle their suit, they usually should have no problem to jumpjet into safety. After all, self-destruct is not supposed to be a weapon, not even a defensive one, even though it works quite well against less agile enemies.

i hereby petition for weapons placeable at cockpit location! ^^ some small puls-laser or MG or (L)A.M.S
I'd rather see something like an EMP-flash or something like that happening, for the simple reason that basically any weapon fired that close to the cockpit would cause splash damage to the cockpit. Imagine how pissed you'd be if you accidentally killed yourself while trying to get rid of a small elemental on your front window which, at this time, can't even do any damage to you while clinged on.

Is that a flyable vehicle on the far right with the back open?
Yes, it's the IS Karnov. Looks fantastic, I know we can move the BA spawn points with the APC, but can we do the same with the Heavy VTOLs?
Yes, Karnov and Anhur are flyable. And can we hijack them and move our opponents spawn points ? Not at this time. You can either camp the mobile spawns or destroy them.

The website is receiving a complete overhaul and will be relaunched at some point in the not too far future. The current website will only receive fixes and news updates.
If there are specific things you're missing in the FAQ, go ahead and name them please.

Read the original entryThe screenshot for January 5th goes without much comment, because this time, we'd like you to come up with a caption for it. We have a... temporary caption which would be No Pictures Please. However, we'd like to read what you can come up with when seeing it. Best caption before the next screenshot is being posted might find its way as official caption in the gallery. Don't forget to check out our media gallery to see the already revealed content of MWLL's advent calendar and other media. . .. .

Blender is a fabulous piece of codes Only fabulous if you know how to use it. >.< None of these programs is actually easy to use, they all require lots of practise. Blender at least has the advantage that you can get a legal copy of it without paying obscene amounts of money for it or acquiring a student license.
