Why do I have a feeling I'm sitting in a thread of older players such as myself... (feels good, actually)

So what you're telling me is... I'm pretty much old enough to be your dad?  Sad Cry

That's alright... that just means perhaps there's hope for the BattleTech community after all.  My friend Chaoswolf is your age, and he's pretty knowledgable about the BT universe, and it's really just nice to see it making a comeback.

well technically speaking, most people 12 years older than me could be my dad.....though my dad isn't cool enough to understand the awesomeness of battletech. i know quite a bit myself, and it is amazing finding others who enjoy it too. unfortunetly not many people i know my age know of it...shame shame.

Well, perhaps, if this game is successful enough it will lead to enough of a resurgence in interest to help keep the table game moving, as well.

I used to play but haven't in 4 years.  Always played Clan Ghost Bear (we had a custom campaign going for atleast a year.)

It can be a lot of fun to play through a campaign, but anything more than a year generally drags.

Thank God!!  Battletech will survive.

But I'm one of the old ones.  In fact I would be willing to say that I am the oldest Mechwarrior.  I'm 62.  Anybody older than me here?

Yeah, but in what form?  How will the youth treat the game?

I am 40, started playing in 88. My collection was pretty complete up until about 7 years ago. I have apple boxes full of unopened mini's and walls covered with display shelves (No, I do not live in my mothers basement)  Cheesy

I sure do wish I could find other players locally. Any live in mid Michigan by any chance?

You'd have better chance posting on the Classic Battletech forum.. Michigan? Doesn't PropWash operate a Pod center there?
