not when my 8800GTX doesn’t even have the power run Crysis maxed out with good FPS.

While we're talking... I saw a benchmark yesterday using 8800GTX in Triple-SLI which couldn't handle Crysis DX10 on VERY HIGH all maxed out.
I'm reluctant to blame NVIDIA though. I think, with some positive attitude, one might say Crytek are very far ahead of their time. One might as well find less charming ways to describe this.

Not only does the engine already make a high-end pc it's bitch, there are apparently a bunch of effects that are just currently disabled?

(The realistic waves seen in screenshots spring to mind - some levels even have wave helper objects that currently do nothing...)

Yes the waves have never worked. Im hoping that these types of things will get patched into the curent game or SDK rather than be tied to a latter release. Also I never tryed to put all the blame on nvidia. Im glad we have a game we can grow into.

And one day, when the Nvidia 15800's come out, we will have a 10th processor, one devoted to everything in graphics.

they wont go that high in numbers you know, they'll most probably start a new series like the FX, even though they are now doing something like the 7600 GTS as DX10 cards they will do a PSY card for combines physics and GPU cards and that will probably be like an X series X-5 640 X-1 720 X-9 1280 which would look nice as a car display with a giant X cooling system design on em.
