I'm in NBT right now.  I understand that ISW is now compatible with NBT?  I heard all the battles are done with stock config mechs...is that true?

hi. yes. all configs are stock. its due to coding that mechs cannot be custom. but then again i personally prefer it that way. and yes isw is now compatible with nbt.also single player.
thanks

@ Metro. by the time i can get my connection fixed u guys will already have conquered  half the inner sphere.

BTW guys 56 k play is also used quite frequently by a lot of guys in isw. including me so like i said come try it out. and join the IRON BRIGADE 2ND WISCONSIN.when u log on to isw u have to be assigned to a house or merc unit, before u can do any drops.also make sure u hide your task bar.to type messages.
then ask a comstar to join the IRON BRIGADE.something like this.
is there a comstar present. please put me in the iron brigade, thanks.
and if that is done you simply re log, do some minor training and you are ready to play
thanks

OK, I tried out ISW, and can run it in NBT or Netmech mode now, thank you.  One question that needs answered by ANYONE considering this game.

Do you realize there is ONE type of "battle" (joke) you can run by yourself in ISW...

yeah, that's a "Recon" mission with a light mech.  Kill some turrets, kill some quad-panzers, three bulldogs, and five buildings....

that's the one mission you can run without others...

RIDIC_________  you fill in the rest

true but thats more like a training mission, if you want to play by yourself, you have to go options, then click single player. and you can play alone. you have to win 4 maps [matches] to get % for your house on a planet.

does not sound like you stuck around there very long, do me this favour do 2 weeks of drops with other guys, then send me a pm via the forum on what u think, i would like to hear from u then, and it would be a nice perspective from a new player

dont you like playing with other guys ,to me thats half the fun.
thanks

Uhh, yah, I like playing with others, spent six months in NBT.

Problem with ISW...House Marik never had ANYONE other than ChuckNorris online, EVER.

Went to house Liao, registered, never got my account activated.

Went to Drac Combine, same thing.

WTF?  ISW obviously doesn't want players....

Now, i'm prepping for MWLL.  ISW is a joke compared to HC or MWL anyway.

MWL is dying... too much cheating and smurfing and not much skill... anyone can take rac's and hold the trigger down, or stand on a hill and snipe from range.. I cant hardly wait for MWLL to come out and breath new life into the Mechwarrior Community.  Although I would like to see how MechPak 4 is.  Still waiting for a release date on that too...

Ok lets clear things up a little for Jetfire.

Yes recon missions are easy, they were never meant to be super difficult and full of time consuming objectives.

Now as for Mariks activity there is not much people can do there apart from the Marik high command.

Never had your account activated? Activated in what way? Once you sign up for Liao your in, no need for activation just....well.....in.

The missions past Recons are a little more difficult and not just static defenses, Recon In Force is a medium mission with defenses but if your not careful you end up being gang-banged by a convoy guard of mechs.

Once past there you have the Planetary Conquest maps like Aqua, Urban, Desert and Ice Level 3 which has the static defenses and vehicles to kill but also 15 level 10 bot mechs.

Dropship attacks are vehicles, defenses, 2 dropships and 25 mechs to kill.

I am sorry you managed to pick the houses that are inactive but if you wanted to give it another chance then Liao always has people online to help you get familiar with the engine and missions.
