erh Degency you really must have me excused for this ... but sometimes you amaze me! Yes it is and official application, sorry if I did not state "official" at the entry of the application. No it´s not a show-off, or yet another "look what I posted at MWLL!" I´m not that kind of guy! by far from that, neither would I freely donate my gears to Kamikaze the week or so before this post was set up!
Heh, I feel you man
Still got my application up in the air with no real confirmation yet

Feel free to drop the appropriate people PMs, maybe that'll get the desired results: Death_Grin for Level Design, Kamikaze for the modeling. Point to your respective application threads and tell them that you've been in the waiting loop for quite some time already.

Thanks AoP, sinsere and honest as allways, I actually has been in contact with Kamikaze, and he suggested posting my work here, but at the time I posted it, I did not have internet-connection, nor did I deem my 3D skills good anuf, other than to make LowPoly figures! I´ll contact Kamikaze or Criminal later!

As much as we love applicants and their eagerness to help, the quality of the applicant has to progressively become higher the further along in the project is. Even now at the stage we are in, we are getting many more applications that you don't see here. This is also why you will see some new names pop-up with 'Apprentice' attached without seeing a join application.
I'm not saying you or Korjax aren't of good quality, it's just the discussion tables are more than likely considering whether or not we can bring aboard people who will need to be trained properly. We can't just hand you the keys and say "Have at it, have something by X milestone, good luck!" That would be irresponsible and not very productive.
Obviously training time varies between positions and some can jump into it faster than others but for Level Design and modeling, it could take several weeks to get up to speed in the proper way things will need to be done. Especially if this is your first time doing any modding.
Be patient, an answer should come sometime soon..

Patience is a valid virtue, and I must say that I have shown a little of that. Thanks for returning with a more solid answer, it actually makes a lot of sense, and yes getting new peps inside takes time, and it also takes a lot of patience to guide them around, but hey, look at the age of the writer, I´m no youth, and I am more than used to parry orders at the whim.
Thanks Landros, it was a response like this nature, that I was looking for! Nothing else! Exciteded to see TB and D´s faces now! I actually adore TB coding skills sectretly but dont tell him, please! And Decency, a smile you surely can put on me too!

Thanks, I'm just glad I finally got an answer
I personally was worried that if I was accepted that I wouldn't have personal time to spend on Sandbox 2 and really learning alot of the more "deeper" functionality of the editor. I was just oblivious of the current development cycle you guys are in (it HAS been pretty quite the past month or two
), and it makes sense that it's "too late" if you already got a set workload and timeline you are going by.
I'm assuming you guys won't need any additional help after 1.0 release so I will probibly stick around and be content with just doing some 3rd party fan-map(s) after you guys ship out version 1

KorYax keep at it regardless of what may happen, that you can only become a more able and stable in the software used, and that the work-flow eventually will become like riding a bicycle!
p.s. Maybe
TLL
needs you for fan-mapping! Not sure but ask around! Christmas seems to be all year around at TLL.

There's going to be some work after 1.0 (our winter release). Additional support and content will continue until we're (and the community) happy with the state MW:LL is in. After that, we might keep a small support team to work on bug fixes or help another team to pick up the reigns but most of Wandering Samurai (and those who want to) will move on to a new project that's in the pipeline.

I'm sorry I couldn't reply sooner fellas. We are all busy on the mod and on the side and I'm afraid I don't check here as often as I should.
First, Kit, I asked if it was an official application since you came in originally with some very different stuff but then seemed to add unwrapping to your skillset quickly. I do like to reply in these threads with advice from an artists perspective but I don't really get to decide who we let on or reject. However, since you are clearly interested I will get in contact with the leads in the next day or two and see what their plans are at the moment. Since you seem to be able to unwrap now, while you are waiting the next thing I would suggest would be to try some normal mapping.
Also, I read some of your messages in ChaosWolfs thread and I completely understand where you are coming from. We have all applied for jobs in the past and I know the feeling of waiting while others seem to take forever to make their decisions. It is extremely frustrating but the best thing to do would be to take it in stride. This mod is getting close to release after a long development cycle and so we must scrutinize the apps more closely than before. If you know anything about production you know that large projects are bound to have a crunch time towards the end no matter how well they are planned.
Having said that, I respect your patience and I will try to get a lead in this thread as soon as I can.

Understandably you must have been a little confused, that you did not exactly knew which role I would apply for...

A little problem here, I cant do any 3D work before I get back home, that I am not atm, I am housesitting my brothers house for this and the following week. Sorry.

Please do not misunderstand me, I am not frustrated neither am I in any way displeased about the lack of response, it is more than understandable, that more pressing matters has to be looked upon before other minor objectives is solved. Nay it was more the way that some response was given, [see
thread
instead, no need to dwelve on it anymore.

Glad you are excited, i didnt see in your application what time zone you are in. Where abouts do you live? If you don't want to say publicly that's fine but time zone is needed so that we can setup some time to meet up.
