It's actually going 100 m/s which is on the high side of 220 mph. It's a big city.

it looks like its shaping up quite nicely! I'm a wanna be future fighter pilot and thus love all forms of flying, thus I can be a pretty hard critique...that being said Im thoroughly looking forward to this. I hope you guys are also taking general aerodynamics in designs into account? I.E. scouts don't turn fast but fly fast due to shape, fighters are turn oriented not so much speed, bombers are like a semi truck in the air.

We agreed to stick to the basic principle that what goes come must come down.

Semi truck .. hehe .. nice comparison. I assume they put that into account. I guess most planes will be fighter style tho. Not sure if there actually are any real bombers at all to bomb out a target. Are there? Chaoswolf?

The closest we've got are ground attack planes which are slow moving and a bit sluggish, but that was a Sulla which is one of the fastest and most agile, and best looking imho, fighters in the game.

Sluggish as in: I take a hit of your damned PPC but watch out for my reply kinda sluggish? Would be bad if they are hard hitters but too easy to take down for mechs and/or tanks.

One of the best simulation fighter games I've played was Free Space 2. While not the best comparison I hope this game a good experience for those who enjoy fighter combat as well as mech to mech combat. I do hope that these planes will be more than you get hit once and your hitting the eject button. They should require some skill to handle well though. Aurora Paradox

I'll repeat what I said about general vehicle handling and physics already: most of us don't like the way Crysis handled vehicles. We're definitely interested in making the differences in vehicles feelable. Players are supposed to know what they're controlling when they're piloting an interceptor or a bomber, a scout car or a heavy tank, a Puma or an Atlas. For the sake of balancing, one shot kills are not desired either. Again: we're trying to make this an enjoyable experience. Details, however, are pointless to be discussed before the beta tests.

He used the "beta" word again! Droool .... I didn't know that Crysis didn't add different feelings to each vehicle ... havent played it that much so I wouldnt know about it. Glad you are doing that!
