It occurs to me that in the MW video games, fusion cores often explode with great force and frequency.
However, in the books and other such things, fusion cores rarely explode unless there's a reactor breach, and then usually it's just an explosion that splits the 'Mech into a bunch of little 'Mech bits.  I know it's an awesome effect, and in the video games it is often to prevent you from salvaging a strong 'Mech or its components early on, but I think 'Mechs shouldn't always explode with such fury.  I mean, knock off a 'Mech's leg, and it's not going to explode.  Kill the pilot inside and sometimes the 'Mech even remains standing, its actuators locked because the neurohelmet ceases to receive commands.
Discussions?  Disagreements?  Statements on how this should affect LL?  Personally, I feel that the little explosions we have now like in that one dude's sig are perfect, and I seriously am opposed to the sort of mushroom-cloud-causing, city-obliterating core breaches I've seen elsewhere.
