A few questions about the MW3 Novel.

I saw on several sites the novel "Trial by Fire", by Coleman. Novelization of MW3. Now, I would like to know, is this genuine Coleman's work? And why can't chapters 11-13 be found
anywhere
? Also, why are all the sites but one missing chapters 14-15?

The commando's lance leader accepted the package with both hands, feeling the weight behind it. Allen nodded, scrounged a metal rod from some nearby wreckage and drove it down into the caldera's ground while the lieutenant shook the flag open. He tied two corners around the makeshift pole, then stepped back as the breeze tugged at the ensign-the silver Cameron star against the black field. The Star League colors, left flying over the caldera battlefield.

I can't speak to the novel versions available now but if my memory serves me well (and at my age it sometimes does not) Coleman wrote the novel and put it up on the MW3 site. It only had the beginning chapters (I think 1 to 10).
Later, at the request of fans, he finished the story and put it up on line as well.
I don't think there ever was a hard copy novel.
Maybe someone who is more informed than I am can elaborate further.

LC never really interned it to be a book... just a simple novelization, and it was never finsihed.

You ever know how you want a story to start, and how you want it to end, but aren't sure how to connect the two? It might be something like that.

Good to hear. Do you know if the finished novel can be found anywhere now?

Might I suggest asking at the Battlecorps forums.

If I am not mistaken, that is LC's brain child. Also he regularly offers battletech fiction there. If you want good odds on some one telling you where to find Trial By Fire, that's probably the best place to start.
Please let us know if you find anything.

Alas, I am familiar with this site. Chapters 5-13 are unavailable, as far as I can tell. Meaning, 10-13 are nowhere I know.
