Hey guys, new guy here, tough I've been browsing a lot lately. Can't say I'm not excited from what I've read and seen up until now, you guys are a huge hope for a lot of fans of the franchise. I play the Collectible Miniature Game, and became kind of a lore enthusiast. I read the entire FAQ and gotta say I'm really impressed with what you guys say. Can't wait to play it. I would like to suggest, if possible, to implemente deep customization of the 'Mech, from color, total speed, loadout, accessories (Beagle Prob, LAMS, Jump Jets) the MW4 stuff and WAY beyond. I take this suggestion out of the fact that in the MW CMG we have these unique pilots that have their "favorite" 'Mechs, 'Mechs which THEY customized to the bottom. So I think we all want to be unique pilots and have out unique 'Mechs, with our custom options in it, making it easier for us to pilot (After all that's what customization is for, right?). So I would really like to tweak my 'Mech to be able to pull of that little maneuver that will keep my opponents thinking "How the hell to I hit that guy?!?!".
Really would like to see some faces around. In the MW CMG we have the Mad Cat Mark IV already, it's pretty good looking, strong nonetheless and pretty facy. Would like to see it included. We also have new (And in my opnion: overall improved) looks for almost all 'Mechs. Like the Vulture Mark IV and new Atlas look. Well... I'm pretty sure a lot knows what looks I'm talking about so enough talking.
IF you guys at the art department want to see some really cool looks go to: http://www.warrenborn.com/
It's a site with nearly ALL the miniatures ever released... As with known pilots and gear. Check it out. The Atlas from the CMG looks very good.
Also I would like to know if there will be a heating system, if not, I would suggest putting it. It keeps players from abusing Laser-Type Weapons. Also implement, if possible, a cooling system related with water. Would be cool to have fights on beaches were the water could be used tacticaly. Oh and speaking of weapon types: You might wanna look into MW4 and MW4: Mercs for orientation on weapons, it's a pretty solid source, although as we all know, old.
Also... if you can... Implement 'Mech STRAFING!!!!!!!!! Cool Grin
Would be a huge plus to gameplay.

That's pretty much it guys. I saw your videos and it looks good. Make sure to implemente a Daishi too  Grin

Catch you all later!

Sadly there  is a thing called balancing - it's going to be the only factor that will prevent the devs to make 'Mechs a total customizable unit. We will see what they are planning Cheesy

Oh no not again Cheesy Thought you were reading the forum already Tongue I would like to point out this one:

http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,36/topic,1769.0/

What it says is basically: Use torso twist - that's the only way that a 'Mech can strafe and it's pretty much the same as sidestepping Smiley

Catch you all later!

Heya UBCS,

and welcome to the forums.
Full customization of Mechs is something we would like to have and will probably continously implement in future versions.
In 1.0, Mechs this will not be the case and the extent of customization isn't fully certain either.

As Seraph correctly pointed out, Mechs won't be strafing in MWLL. Ever. This is not "One Must Fall 2008" and our Mechs will be bound by the laws of physics and reason.
Not least, a strafefest is something we don't want to see.
