Physics Programmer / Programmer
«

I would like to put in an application to join the mod team for MWLL.
Name: Terry (aka Seiko)
Age: 29
Position: Programmer / Physics Programmer
Experience: I am a software engineer for an avionics manufacturer and design/code/test integrated flight deck systems for general aviation aircraft and small business jets. I am very proficient in C, C++, JAVA, PHP, XHTML, CSS, and XML. I have a good background in Physics, Calculus, and network programming. I work on Windows, Linux, and OSX.
Past Projects:
1. I have no game mod experience other than a quick hack for Half Life 2 for an external controller. EDIT: Completely forgot that I had done a lot of scripting for a NWN2 multiplayer server. All work was scripting and not actual mod related.
2. Extensive work on flight simulation program with multiple I/O modules, flight model (flight physics, landing gear, engines, etc), and environmental models (magvar, wind, temperature, density, etc).
3. Extensive work on flight management system (guidance, waypoints, flight plans, etc).
4. Extensive work on GPS interface and position computations.
5. Aircraft Electrical System simulator for 2AC/2DC bus system with batteries, generators, and bus tie contactors.
Ties to Mechwarrior: MW3 and MW4:Vengeance player. Member of DiamondShark {DS} clan in the old TWL days. I loved MW4 and the concept and ideas behind MW.
Other commitments: Full time job & family
SAMPLES: Will discuss privately.
Please contact via email and we can meet via team speak or other medium.

Are you kidding me? As awesome as this mod is shaping up to be, I'm surprised you haven't attracted any real life mechwarriors yet. I know, I know... They would have to travel through time from a fictional future... But you just wait till beta.

I think we already got a few of those people in here ... they sneaked in without notice and are now adding something here and there .. because you know that MWLL will be the leading Simulator Software for Battlemechs in the year 2096 ... they are just trying to make it even better by changing the development in a way that they like!

Just remember those talented people are going to have a lot more time testing the mod so will know all the tricks. Oh, that and all those super-secret-developer-only-god-mode-hacks...

I think it's the fact:
1. It's Mechwarrior/Battletech! This has a massive fanbase consisting of old nerds with beards and work ethic
2. It's community driven, and it actually has a solid team/leadership behind it
3. It comes off as very professional and is taken seriously
4. Microsoft ditched everything Battletech, and quite simply... we all WANTED MORE!

Actually, it is more of a goatee than a beard.
