Crytek, makers of Crysis on which MechWarrior: Living Legends will be running, is currently out on a massive campaign to receive as much community feedback as possible. Therefore, we as a 'fan site' have been asked to gather questions that our community would be interested in asking the CRYSIS developers.
Fire at will!

When will the rest of the story come out? Will it be on multiple platforms, xbox and others? Do you ever look at MOD's and say, hey we can help you with some custom code to make it better for you?

All these questions interest me as well. Primarily is Crysis 2 going to be based on the PC and then ported to other platforms or the other way personally. Personally I would like to see it stay a PC only title. This way it won't be restrict by the limitations of consoles. Aurora Paradox

Sorry to disappoint some but Crytek has already said that Crysis is a PC title... Never coming out for the consoles... http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=136952Futher proof can also be showed here: http://www.pcplay.hr/modules.php?r=23&id=15 (More recent interview) Cevat Yerli: "Crysis as we have seen is impossible. Crysis would have to be largely changed to bring it to Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. Crysis is designed to be PC Exclusive. Our internal focus is not linked to bring Crysis to consoles." Catch ya later!

That interview dates back to 2006, to a point where Crytek still considered themselves to be "PC exclusive", a point of view that has been dropped since then. That states that Crysis in its current shape won't take place on Consoles, meaning there'll be no port of Crysis pt 1, but it doesn't say anything about future installements. Just look at Call of Duty 3: After 2 PC-exclusive titles that one went console-exclusive. It's not impossible that Crytek will create Crysis 2 around console requirements and just port it to the PC.

You folks might want to take a read of this: http://www.pcplay.hr/modules.php?r=23In a nut shell (and if your too lazy to read ). They're not going to make PC exclusives any more because they think they got hammered by piracy (To be fair it was very high up on TPB list for a long time) and didn't make a acceptable profit because of that. Not to mention the game being notorious for being a PC destroyer. It's a shame as this will most likely mean we won't see the stunning visuals and physics that we did in Crysis in the rest of the trilogy so that it can be ran on consoles. I find it hard to believe that they will dedicate a large amount of time to run simultaneously developments so that PC players get experience the same or better eye candy as we have already. In their defense I can totally see their point the console market doesn't get hit as hard by piracy, although it does still exists and that's where the money is at after all they are a business. I just hope we don't see a pure port for the PC, that would destroy the Crysis saga.

Why aren't they releasing a patch 1.3? They cut off support really quick.

His excuse of piracy is complete bunk. They killed their own sales by making Crysis too demanding of even bleeding edge hardware.

Whilst true, without games like Crysis, hardware vendors won't be under the pressure they are now to develop superior technologies, this is why the PC market has to stay alive if Gaming as a whole want's to be constantly pushing forward in terms of visual fidelity and all together awesomeness.

Theres already a few interviews or at least one that I know of with a video. Its basically photo realistic and is near the "Toy Story" level people in the press have been talking about since the advent of shaders. When do we get to find out the changes made from vanilla cry engine 2 to the updated version?
Heres my question: The CE2 and its upcoming revision seems to have a much wider area of application than just games. Does Crytek ever see its self breaking away from EA and going in a more independent direction. How do you plan to market your engines to a wider sector in the feature?

Will Warhead include any stiffer anti-piracy measures? Does CryTek see its self being able to make in rodes to reducing piracy rather than just ignoring it?
