My application for the mod team:
Name: Tyler (aka Centron)
Age:16
Position: Voice Acting (Specifically for any announcer / commander voice)
Experience: I work as an announcer for my High School during Football, Basketball, and Baseball Season, and I have been told that I have a very good voice for it by my classmates, viewers, and my boss, the broadcast manager. I am also working on some voice acting for a few maps for the Source Engine Mod,
Obsidian Conflict. They are in a 10-map series named
Return to City 17. Note: The current releases of the maps do not feature voice acting. They will feature it later as the mapper is going to release updated versions of all 10 maps simultaneously.
Ties to Mechwarrior: I have been a Mechwarrior fan since playing the 31st Century Combat game on the Playstation 1 at the age of 5 (Timber Wolf for life!) and I have always followed the series up until the end of the (good) Mechwarrior games in 2002 with M4: Mercenaries.
Other Commitments: I am about to start my Sophomore year of high school, but due to the nature of the position, I can make deadlines easily.
Samples: I won't upload any samples of my voice acting work for the Return to City 17 maps as the mapper and I have both agreed to keep things under wraps as a surprise for the OC community. Simply post any lines you would like me to try, and I will reply with an attachment. I am also working on some voice samples on my own that would fit the Solaris arena.
PS: Despite numerous google searches, a decent way to add a radio effect to my voice still eludes me, does anyone have any suggestions? (I know sound editing jargon, so tell me if I need to add certain filters to make it work)
PPS: Yes, I am the guy that tried to take a crack at interface design, but sadly, my computer just was not Crysis-capable enough to run the game and editor at a decent FPS to test the interfaces

, so I am working at a job that does not require running the game.
