Guys, I don't mean to belittle your efforts and I don't even want to sound impatient. I know you have undertaken this project on your own time and at your own expense but for over a year now I have been visiting this site in hopes of a breakthrough that would give me hope that a finished product was close at hand. But the time has come to lay the skunk on the table. Do you have a game or not?

So far... all I've seen is pictures of mechs and a couple of vids that depict a tank and some jets. They looked nice.... but to date I have not seen one walking shooting mech.

What I have seen is a ton of updates on Crysis, so many in fact that sometime I forget this is a site dedicated to the Battletech Universe.

All I'm asking for is an honest assessment on where your team is at in the production cycle and a conservative estimate on when a workable product may be delivered. If it is 6 months or a year... that's fine. Can you please just level with us. Just so you understand, I am not trying to drag you guys down. I just want to know if this is a real project or not.

If it is... I would be happy to put my money where my mouth is. If you tell me it's real and you put a pre-rorder link on your site. I will be among the first to buy the game site unseen.

I just want to play Mech...... that's all. Thanks

Dood...if you claim to have seen the pics and the videos, then can it not be real?
If you are claiming not to sound impatient...what are you asking for then by your post?
I also ask how much of the community involvement you are in. You claim to have been visiting this site for over a year now...but I cannot see what you have been "viewing".
The forums here are a great wealth of information. Just because you dont see it on a front page doesnt mean there isnt information.
I highly encourage you to do a little footwork and actually read the posts that are made here.
I would also like to know where you got your information from concerning a "pre-order" or a "purchasing" of this game. It is a Mod...not a retail stand alone.
Again...try doing your own research and find out why certain things are before posting what you did

If you've been reading the forums properly you'd know they're aiming to have some form of release before the new year IIRC. Don't forget the devs have jobs too, so this is a undertaking entirely in there free time therefore like 4 hours max I would imagine and they are occasionally allowed to have fun Smiley

It's almost been a year since Crysis's release, that's cool. Don't forget it takes full time development teams (that are probably larger than MWLL's team I suspect) at least 2 years but generally around the 3 year mark to finish a game. And you did sound impatient regardless of how you intended to come across.

Nope, sorry, next week we're renaming it BattleTech Commando (that way George Lucas can be involved). You play the roll of a Longinus clad soldier from a broken home who, by the end of the campaign discovers he has a heart of gold...

Look you bunch of douchebags, all I was trying to do was get a little clarity on when this mod might be available. I have read the forums and I haven't seen anything concrete. You say late this year? I say bull$hit. Unless they are seriously hiding a ton of work then there is no way this will be ready inside of six months.

They don't even have basic movement of mechs nailed down but that's okay because the good news is Crysis released another update today....wooohooo! Who gives a $hit?

I know it's a mod, I know it's not a retail game. I was simply offering to put my money where my mouth is in the form of a donation.

So all of you koolaid drinkers can now take some time after my post to thoroughly embarrass yourself with your so called witty remarks and when your done, just remember.... a herd of cows grazing on open fields of jalapeno peppers still couldn't give a $hit.

What difference does it make whether we tell you the mod will be available 6 months from now or not say anything at all?
You'll still have to wait. It won't make any difference at all. If you don't think this project is real, well.. I think you're just a skeptic from the start who wants people to bow down and show you their ass.  You also need to read through the forums some more because, yes, we are releasing something this year.
