Ok, wow.  I'm most impressed by the sound effects.  Are you sure you didn't steal that shutdown/startup sequence from an earlier game?  It is spot-on.  Kudos to your sound guys.

I can tell it's still an early version of mech motion.  It seems to move without the "heft" that you guys said you were aiming for.  It looks really promising though.  You guys are doing one hell of a job!

Very nice.  I loved the sounds and visual effects, although it looked to me like Crysis was being run at one of the lower graphics levels so nothing was as detailed as it could be.  I would guess that this is more a result of someone's limited computer than final graphics, although I suppose it is possible that the graphics settings were kept low because the models are not quite up to what Crysis can handle so they would look bad in a higher quality environment.

The Puma looks and sounds great! I'll have to agree with Timo about the animations though - the legs look like they're just sliding back and forth rather than pushing off the ground. Regardless, I'm very happy you guys decided to release a couple teasers.

rofl ... one shot from the Puma, and shutdown is initiated. You´r sure the coding have not been missplaced for the NovaCat.

2 PPCs fired after running in overdrive for quite a while (see purple text in the center of the screen).
That's all still WIP though.

Veeeeeery nice, i love the sound effets. Are there supposed to be no footstep sound effects or is that still WIP? Also a more stompy feel would be cool, you can never have too much stompyness.

What settings were those at? Was it low, medium or high? It definately didn't look like very high.

Hopefuly news of this will be spread far and wide across the usual sites, MODDB, Crymod, Incrysis etc.

Awesome, so many time waiting to see the 1st mech walking... but, the size of the trees and grass leave the Puma a bit small, I think the mech could hit the ground hard and generate dust.

Cool sounds and effects.

Congrats.

NEEEEERDDDDGGASSSSMMMMMM!!!  Bravo team!  Bravo.

Thanks for doing that guys.  We know you did not have to do this and we all do appreciate the effort involved.  I would get into some constructive criticism but I am just too damned happy watching that to care right now.  Grin  My only complaint is the timing.  I am going to be away for the entirety of next week so I will have to wait to see more of the goodness.  That is somewhat tempered by the fact that the week will be spent at a lake catching fish and drinking.  Cheesy

I'm not a PR guy but I'll clear some stuff up, that I'm sure is fine to say at this point:

For the sound effects:  http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/forum/index.php/topic,2534.0.html

Also, ALL of this is early alpha build.

Puma movement:  it's not final.  Currently the mech movement is just set to use the default tank-based maneuverability it's sluggish and slowish.  Especially considering even the tank movement isn't final at this point, right now the focus is getting all the features in and up to snuff before we really focus on making the tweaks+balances+changes to get everything moving as it should and would in the final Tongue

Also, the map that is in very much in alpha.  Currently I've swapped out the walls for example, and alot of the stuff there is placeholders.  Right now I'm mostly working on finalizing the map flow+balance+tweaks to the map and after that I'll start making adjustments, additions, and flavor to the look.  That's probably why it looks like it's running on low settings, only because the map isn't finished and only has the basics of detail put in Cheesy

Well, about the Heaviness, the Puma isnt exactly an Atlas, and therefore I would think would be a *little* lighter on its feet than such.  Be it very heavy, it isnt a walking 747
