Basic description
The Longinus suit represents the Free Worlds League Military’s attempt to replicate the Standard Clan battle armor, the Elemental.
Through a joint effort by the League and Word of Blake designers, the Longinus is an impressive design, though the development of the battle armor proceeded much slower than anticipated. Many design functions were attempted copies from the Elemental but did not work with current Inner Sphere Technology. After some minor design revisions and debates of functionality, it was decided by League engineers to make this Battle Suit more of a front line fighter rather than a skirmish warrior like the Elemental.
Like the Elemental, the Longinus is equipped with an SRM 2 launcher on the back pack, but only has room enough for single shot ammo space. Even though it has the limitations of the SRM Launcher, the Longinus surpasses the Elemental with its primary weapon – an arm mounted AC/2 which provides quicker refire rate than the Small Laser mounted on the Clan Battle Suit.
Marik engineers have also designed a completely new Power Claw system which makes it easier for the common free born to utilize for climbing as well as punching through think armor plating.

Outline
The Inner Sphere version of the Battle Suit hold a lot of the same principles as its Clan version. The main difference that the Player will notice is that the Longinus is a little more sluggish and clumsy to handle than the Elemental. However, the Longinus does provide a faster refire rate and more armor than its Clan inspiration.
