Basic description
The Timberwolf was the first Omni-Mech the Inner Sphere encountered. ComStar learned of these fantastic machines through a broadcast by a member of the Kell Hounds mercenary unit. ComStart named this new design the Mad Cat because of its hunched over torso is common to both the Marauder and Catapult.
The most common configuration used by the Clans has recently been changed in order to upgrade the Timberwolf’s performance. Stacked with Large Beam Lasers in each arm and 2 LRM 20s on its shoulder, the Timberwolf lays most enemies to waste with this primary weaponry.
Also equipped with twin machine guns at the side of the torso, the pilot is free to chase down any infantry attempting to flee their vehicle. Its latest changes have been the 4 ER Medium Lasers mounted on the center torso which the Timberwolf uses for closer fights against Mechs.
The Timberwolf is a favorite Mech of Clan Wolf. It claims most of the Wolves’ great successes thus far, and no one can yet explain why it appears only in moderate numbers among the Clans.

Outline
The Timberwolf (Mad Cat) is a staple Mech of the Clans. Known for its versatility and firepower, the Player will be able to use this wonderful Mechs to its fullest with high heat capacity and excellent run speed. Best suited for Mech on Mech combat, the Timberwolf is excellent at any range. The Player can even use the two mounted Machine Guns to take down enemy troops.
