Basic description
With its hunched shoulders and protruding head, and bird-like legs, this Mech resembles the Terra bound creature called the “Vulture”. This is actually how it got its Inner Sphere nickname.
In its primary configuration, the Mad Dog serves mostly as a fire-support Mech. Many Inner Sphere Mechwarriors have commented on the sense of foreboding they felt when seeing a “Vulture” perched on a ridge, firing its missiles on the raging battle below as if waiting for its victims to die before swooping down for the carrion. The Mad Dog’s twin LRM-20 racks can certainly hasten an enemy’s death, and it frequently uses its Laser weapons to administer the coup de grace to wounded foes.
First seen in the Draconis Combine and the Free Rasalhague Republic, the Mad Dog has since appeared in the armed forces of all the Clans. Clan Ghost Bear uses it with the greatest frequency, but the Smoke Jaguars also favor this Mech.

Outline
“Damn circling Vultures” is the often heard in the radio chatter among Inner Sphere Mechwarriors. The statement has many meanings as the Player will find when using this Mech. The Mad Dog is primarily a support fire Mech, using its LRM at range and then using its Pulse Lasers to come in closer to finish off its prey. With the Mad Dog’s speed and ranged weapons, it lacks armor and is recommended to keep this Mech away from direct fire.
