Basic description
Like its other Inner Sphere Omni-Mech designs, the Thanatos shows of the Draconis Combine’s latest achievement in Omni-Technology.
Taking a cue from the Clan Thor (Summoner), the Thanatos not only copies the Thor’s performance capabilities but also many of its physical features. It is a fast and maneuverable for a heavy BattleMech, topping out at 60 kph and mounting Jump Jets. Furthermore, its internal structure and armor are heavily reinforced and stabilized giving it the ability withstand heavy bombardment from even Clan weaponry.
That additional strength is necessary, as the Thanatos is often called on to take the fight to the enemy. Carrying an MRM-20 launcher and a variety of Medium Pulse Lasers as well as an LBX-20 for close encounters.

As described in the description, the Thanatos is often best suited as the ‘take the fight to the enemy’ Mech. Sporting a strong weapon load out with speed and armor, this ’Mech is both the highest technologically advanced and most expensive of all Inner Sphere Heavy Mechs.
