We're doing a poll on whether or not we should include Free For All in our mod for first release (or possibly ever).

We don't want to create an FFA mode if there isn't a lot of interest in playing FFA as this will be a significant amount of work. So if you had in previous Mechwarrior titles only tried it and didn't really spend time with it, let us know! We want to see how many people actually divided their time between FFA and Team based games.

Let us know as this will be a significant portion of work going into the mod.

If you're reading this from outside our forums and don't have an account to vote, go here:

FFA is a must.  There is a nothing like the chaos of 16(or whatever the max number is) mechs brawling in close quarters combat.  While I do enjoy CTF and I do hope it is included some day.  FFA is something that can be done with no planning or specialized knowledge.  All you need to know is this kill or be killed..........

Isn't FFA the Solaris Arena gametype?

Solaris Arena in its current setup is Team-Deathmatch, not FFA.

oic! Well it would be fun(FFA), but I don't think it would be necessary.

I'm one of those people who'd rather play team-based gamemodes and don't need FFA. Smiley
If adding FFA would really be "a significant portion of work" I'd prefer it going into the other modes, but I seem to be the only one not keen on FFA so... Undecided

I enjoy team based modes as well but sometimes nothing can top an hour or two of FFA.  Personally I hope CTF gets added eventually.

I honestly would rather have the mod team make CTF.

Amen to that.  CTF is one of my favorite game types.  However FFA is good too.

I'm an adamant fan of FFA.

When I'm not working in an organized unit playing team-based matches, I'm demolishing as many people as possible before I either die, or run out of ammo. As stated before, the Mech3 Zone MP would have been nowhere near as fun without all the random FFA matches thrown in.

It's easier to pick up a game in a FFA where all odds are against you, then rely on Pubs to guide you to success. If it is too much work, I don't mind having it added in later, but I think FFA is a must at some point because not everyone wants a team. At least for the SA mode there should definitely be FFA at some point because it's also geared more towards the casual player to just wants to hop in and kill a few people, rather than have a team's win depend on whether you stay or go.
