I agree, patience is a virtue, but we'd all like a live release month. Hell, even a season or financial quarter would work for us. I think part of the reasoning behind the lack of a public tentative release date is that the last time such a date was set, the mark was missed badly and the general public was left out to dry. The expectation for this mod should most certainly be when it's ready it's going to be released. However, that said, when it's ready is a horribly demoralizing phrase for the public to suffer especially given how near completion the mod looks to be. The hardest time to maintain patience is when it seems as if a release should be imminent. I'm pretty sure that's right now. Thus, the craze will continue whether the devs give a date or stick with the when it's ready policy - there's nothing that really can be done. The only benefit of a date is that people would stop asking for a release date.
Thank you, Defender, for at least posting some of the reasoning behind the when it's ready policy. It seems to me that there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than the public can tell. There's probably a lot of quality issues to iron out, and as Defender said, it is important to the dev team that the mod is of acceptable quality to them and leaves people with a good first impression. So while I'm excited with everyone else, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see MW:LL til this Christmas season, a year after the supposed release date was set. Now I'll stop being an arse, this is something that these guys are giving us for free so I can't complain no matter the scenario.
