Mechwarrior 4 re-release

Harmony Gold went apeshit on S&T about the unseens in the MW5 trailer.  There's issues with MekTek no longer being considered no-liability for the unseen versions of the Marauder, Warhammer, etc. because they're authorized by S&T to release MW4: Free.  Either way, the honchos up at MekTek have said the coding's done.  The problem is due to legal concerns. 

Their site has gone down today, that may or may not be a sign that they're revamping their site for free release.  I don't pretend to know, but it is an omen of something to come.

I'm on MekTek's beta team. Yes the patch is ready for release, yes we are still waiting on the laywers, no there isn't any new developments.

it would have been so much better if harmony gold and fasa back in the day just ironed it out and had fasa have a macross/robotech licenced suppliment

for the battletech game. or a disclamer saying the unseen mechs are from such and such shows so people might check out the anime..oh well I hope they

all argue it out about a fictional universes.

Well I got to chat with an official of MekTek. MW4:Mercs will be released first. (he didn't say when but expected end of March) 1 thing taking them some time is that they are adding new coding to the game with their own tek. The "Lawmen" have said that it's fine but they don't want their product changed very much. (Microsoft is a bitch)

News on MW5: Reboot is that the lawsuit is comming to an end. Smith and Tinker, was previously put on hold by a Japanese company for "copywriting." There has been a casualty in the solution for this Lawsuit. Sadly, MW5 will not be released on the PC. It will be confined to the "newblood gamers" of the Xbox360, and PS3. (Console Fanboys)

I wish we could make a petition for MW5 to be released on the PC, but I don't have the recources for it.

I'm happy to say this is wrong. My son made this post. (without my concent, we somtimes use the same PC and I told him to make a post about the MW4 re-releae. I get on today and see this sitting here.) I'm sorry for any nightmares he may have caused. And who exactly told you this? Like I already said, I'm on MekTek's beta team, which is literally at idle right now. I'm also 1/3 of Senior Staff for the only remaining active league that supports MekTek's MP patches. It's been so long since we've done anything with the beta that I don't even have it installed anymore. I get my information from VAM, who is the lead admin and owner of MekTek and is in direct contact with Jordan Wiesman.. Once MekTek receives permission, the patch will be released almost immediately. Chances are, there won't be much notice, but more like "SURPRISE, HERE IT IS". I'm not speculating on when the patch will be released, it may be this month, it may be March of next year. I honestly have no idea.. But as of right now, there is no talk going on in MekTek's beta team about a March release date.

For the free re-lease I dont care after my cd's went missing I went and downloaded and ISO's.... I already get it for free...

I already have all the mw4 games so I could care less about their release, I just want mw reboot to be made still and released. The mechwarrior site information that omega posted hasn't changed in months and months

My post wasn't meant to be taken as "hot-headed". It was meant to stop the rumor of a March release date, which from everything I'm seeing is not gonna happen. All I did was say what I'm allowed to say about the free release of MW4 and what my sources of information is. Rumors never do anyone any good, all that happens is people get upset when they find out the rumor was false after getting thier hopes up.
