TLL Kitlightning said in one of his first posts:"You can also launch the game via Crysis own shortcut with the added code -mods mwll after the quoted text in the Destination link, e.g. "...\Crysis\Bin32\crysis.exe" -mod mwll" . Apparently I misunderstood this comment and was trying to put it on the link from my desktop(DUH). At any rate Seraph in his wisdom has straightened me out! I now have a launcher I can use and it does NOT over right my actionmaps files every time I start the game.
~S~ to all of you guys....great game...great support!
Thanks much,

Rad

Did you Patch Crysis to 1.2.1....there are 3 patches for Crysis that must be installed prior to MWLL 0.2.0?

You can also launch the game via Crysis own shortcut with the added code -mods mwll after the quoted text in the Destination link, e.g. "...\Crysis\Bin32\crysis.exe" -mod mwll

Can somebody please walk me through this option?  I tried changing the file to "...\Crysis\Bin64\crysis.exe -mod mwll" and "...\Crysis\Bin64\crysis.exe-mod mwll", but both times when I double clicked it a window popped up asking what program I would like to launch the file with...

The code -mod mwll needs to be after the quotation marks, e.g. "...\Crysis\Bin64\crysis.exe" -mod mwll

It should not ask which program to execute it with that it is pointing to a program.

Also are you using the MWLL Launcher.exe to run the game? You should use that software to execute the MOD.

I'm using the desktop icon "MWLL Launcher 0.3.0" to launch the game.  The file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin64" reads "Crysis.exe -mod mwll".  It still crashes upon startup, but I can still play regulr crysis fine :(

Did you try removing your game profile and recreating it? Often a corrupted or incompatible profile is the cause for the game crashing right on startup.

Okay guys, I had the same problems but I figured out what it was (after days of manually choosing the mod from Crysis).

I am running Vista (windows is games-only OS for me - Ubuntu for everything else). Not even the command line approach was working or the auto-updater. Joysticks, or any changes to configuration was also a 'no-go'. And then i figured - "WTH, I'll try the windows auto-updater". To my huge surprise, it worked! SO, USE WINDOWS AUTO-UPDATER if you have these problems (and don't mind Microsoft spying on you).

P.S. To the dev team - Great Work guys!!! This mod is Awesome, and with a little work could almost sell as a stand-alone game (please don't). It is so addicting that I wouldn't mind lending a hand too.   ;)
