MWLL - BSODs
« on: July 09, 2010, 08:21:20 PM »
Guys,

I recieve a BSOD everytime I run MW:LL with my Logitech Z-Cinema USB speaker system, If I use my USB Headset, no such issues. Has anyone else experienced this? It is possible that is limited to me, USB Speaker systems use the cpu moreso than a dedicated sound card, and when using the Z-Cinema system, I am still generally using my USB Headset for VOIP. So, it may just be over taxing my OC'd 3ghz Dual core AMD and the Z-Cinema driver is the piece that takes the hit for the team. Feedback appreciated on the issue.

Thanks.

BSOD usually points towards driver issues. What is the DLL or cause of the BSOD? Should be mentioned in the error message or at least an error name that could give a hint where it crashes.

I also have the logitech Z-cinema USB, with Win7 x64 but don't get BSOD. Though I think some time ago I did have to reinstall the drivers for it as it was causing something to crash.

I am running Win7 Pro 32 Using the latest drivers for the Z-Cinema, Can't find the BSOD in the Eventvwr, I will see if I can once again recreate the issue.

The BSOD could be the OC failing when the CPU is getting heavily loaded. But we need to know what BSOD it is before we start jumping to conclusions.
