October Edition
By the 31st century, humanity has
spread to thousands of worlds, while a handful of powerful empires wage
continual war for the right to rule the stars. Foremost among the weapons
used in that struggle are BattleMechs. Loaded with auto cannons, missile
launchers, lasers, and charged-particle beam weapons, these fusion-powered
war machines of articulated armor stand upward of fourteen meters tall.
Piloting them are MechWarrior’s, the best, most intensively trained men and
women available. Like the armored knights of an earlier age, MechWarrior’s
are popular heroes, and their exploits are the stuff of legends. Will you
become a a forgotten casualty or a Living Legend?

1. Crytek Officially Announces Support for
MWLL
|
Exciting annoucement coming out of Crytek, the Developers behind the
award winning PC title Crysis!

The Press Release states Crytek's official support in the
development for MechWarrior: Living Legends. This is great news for
any Battletech fan as FASA studios closes and no major Development
group has expressed interest or support of any title using the
MechWarrior IP.

Alexander Marschall, Crytek's community manager, has been in contact
with the team for some time now and finally we can share this news
with you. Here is the official word from Crytek.
"Today we proudly announce the fourth and last chosen Crysis pre-SDK
modification. It is called MechWarrior: Living Legends and will get
supported by Crytek during its development." Please find the
official press release here.

Crytek will be offering officially supported titles help from the
Crytek design team ensuring a high caliber of gameplay and art. In
addition, they have provided to supported teams a PRE-RELEASE SDK
with all the tools needed to bring their development to the next
level.

In this months edition we would like to
introduce Kelt Knight
Hello, I
am Hunter May, aka Kelt Knight. I am 25 years old and live in South
Carolina. I have been a member of the MWLL team since September. I
enjoy my work with the team. I am a 3-D modeler for the team, making
everything from guns to cargo planes. I am a 2006 graduate of the
Savannah College of Art and Design. My major was Interactive Design
and Game Development. I had the privilege of obtaining an internship
at Hi-Rez Game Studios in Georgia last winter. Hi-Rez is developing
a sci-fi MMORPG game using the Unreal 3 Engine called Global Agenda.
Working there helped me improve my overall skills as an artist.
Currently, I am looking for a job in the gaming industry, or doing
other types of 3-D work. Being a modeler on this team challenges me
to produce my finest work. I hope you like what you have seen so far
from our team. We all appreciate your support of our Crysis mod and
the dev team hopes to see you in the war zone soon.
